A waiver records what was agreed. Media Capture Documentation records what happened.

When something goes wrong in a gym, the waiver is only half the story. The other half is the moment itself: the equipment, the floor, the setup, the time. Waiver tools record the signature. Camera apps record the moment. Media Capture Documentation joins the two: the athlete records the incident from their phone, inside waiver2.0, and it is sealed on the spot, in the same record as the waiver they signed.

Captured live, in the app

Photos and video are taken through waiver2.0's own camera. There is no upload from the gallery, so files already on the phone can't be added.

Sealed at the moment of capture

Each file is hashed as it is taken and entered into the same tamper-evident chain as the waiver. Any later change to the file is detectable.

An independent timestamp

The time is set by waiver2.0's servers and a trusted RFC 3161 timestamp, not by the phone's clock, which anyone can change.

Location, recorded honestly

The phone's reported location is recorded with its stated accuracy and checked against the gym's address and other signals at the moment of capture. waiver2.0 records the signals; it does not certify where a person was.

One record with the waiver

Every capture is tied to the athlete's sealed waiver, so the agreement and the incident sit in one record, under one chain.

Never deleted if questioned

If a file ever stops matching its seal, it is quarantined and kept, and the mismatch is itself recorded. Nothing is destroyed.

Evidence is clearest in the first minutes after an incident and hardest to recreate later. With Premium, the athlete holds a sealed record of both what they agreed to and what happened, kept by an independent record-keeper rather than by either side.

How any evidence is weighed is always for the court to decide.

WHY WAIVER2.0

Single-page waivers produce multipage lawsuits.

When an injury claim reaches a gym, the first questions are simple: what exactly did the athlete sign, when, and has the document changed since? A one-page form in a drawer rarely answers them. waiver2.0 is built to: each waiver is written for the gym's jurisdiction, sealed at signing, and kept unchanged by an independent record-keeper.

Tamper-evident, not just signed
Most digital waiver tools give you an e-signature — proof that someone clicked a button. That doesn't show the document is unchanged. Every waiver2.0 record is SHA-256 hashed and chained: change one byte of a sealed record and the chain no longer matches.
A deliberate step, on the record
Athletes choose and pay for their own plan, so signing is an active step rather than a box ticked at the front desk. The sealed record keeps the exact text the athlete was shown and when it was accepted. Whether a waiver is enforceable is always for the court to decide.
Written for where you train
The waiver text follows the gym's jurisdiction: Australia, the United States and Canada (Quebec coming soon). Records are hosted in the EU and handled under the GDPR.

A record that stays exactly as it was signed.

waiver2.0 is an independent third-party record-keeper. It is not a party to the waiver, takes no side in any dispute, and does not certify facts. It records what was signed, when, and how — and preserves it unchanged.
